What is coaching?

Coaching is a one-to-one informal conversation between a coach and a 'coachee'. Coaching is designed to help the coachee in a very practical sense.

Coaching uses questioning techniques to facilitate the coachee’s own thought processes in order to identify solutions and actions rather than taking a directive approach. We utilize a well-developed leadership development program, conducting assessments of the current state, and identifying the desired state. 

Coaching differs from training and teaching of which is focused on knowledge transfer and theoretical application.
